Books are not required, but we highly recommend them. While our ServSafe Food Manager classes are comprehensive, we do cover a lot of material in a short amount of time. We suggest ordering the 7th edition ServSafe Manager’s book and studying it in advance of the class.

How Do I Get a Book? How Quickly Will It Be Delivered?

Books can be purchased through TSC Associates and usually arrive within two business days as they are shipped via FedEx or UPS. We offer a purchase option that includes the book with the class and exam.

What Is the Passing Score?

In order to successfully pass a ServSafe Food Manager class and earn your certification, you must score at least 70% on the exam. We provide comprehensive instruction and ample opportunity for review to ensure that you can meet this score.

ServSafe Food Handlers books used for this training.

Tennessee does not require staff in a food service establishment to have food safety training at this time. It is a good practice to teach food safety to all food handlers. The ServSafe Food Handler program is a great foundation for food safety and it is easy to teach and learn.

(This training is primarily for wait staff, bartenders, cooks, dishwashers, etc. Managers would take the ServSafe Managers Course.)
